During the July 13, 1917, apparition at Fatima, the Virgin Mary showed the three shepherd children a vision of hell and said, "You have seen Hell - where the souls of poor sinners go. To save them, God wants to establish throughout the world the devotion to my Immaculate Heart ... I shall come to ask for the Communion of Reparation on the First Saturdays."
As promised, the Virgin Mary with her Divine Son Jesus appeared to Sister Lucia in her convent on December 10, 1925. The Most Holy Virgin rested one hand on Lucia’s shoulder and showed her in the other hand a heart encircled by thorns. At the same time, the Child Jesus said:
"Have pity on the Heart of your Most Holy Mother. It is covered with the thorns with which ungrateful men pierce it at every moment, and there is no one to remove them with an act of reparation."
Then Our Lady said to Lúcia:‘My Daughter, look at my Heart encircled with the thorns with which ungrateful men pierce it at every moment by their blasphemies and ingratitude. Do you at least try to console me and announce in my name that I promise to assist at the hour of death with the graces necessary for salvation all those who, on the first Saturday of five consecutive months, go to Confession and receive Holy Communion, recite the Rosary and keep me company for a quarter of an hour while meditating on the mysteries of the Rosary with the intention of making reparation to me."*
After completing five consecutive First Saturdays in Reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, please consider continuing the monthly devotion to obtain the graces necessary for other souls. Our Most Loving Mother asks us to help console her, promising her assistance at the hour of our death! What a glorious promise!
