Our Lady of Fatima, July 13, 1917
“God wishes to establish in the world devotion to my Immaculate Heart.”
Fatima Shepherd Children
During one of the bloodiest centuries in all of human history, God sent His Mother Mary to a remote village with a message of hope in His unfailing love and mercy for all people.
Beginning May 13, 1917, and then continuing each month through October, the Virgin Mary appeared to three shepherd children in Fatima, Portugal.
Through these simple shepherds, the world was called back to God. The message and events in Fatima were nothing short of prophetic and continue to grow in their importance today.
It is God's love and mercy that saves souls and conquers evil. It is love that unites the Immaculate Heart of Mary to God, and it is love that calls us to follow God as Mary did. Devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary helps us follow her instructions to "Do whatever He tells you" (Jn 2:5).
“The devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary is the means of salvation for these difficult times in the Church and in the world.”
